After a long history of selling books in Pydar Mews, the bookshop is no longer viable with ever decreasing sales, due to a change in consumer behaviour and low footfall. Unfortunately trade has never returned to pre-covid levels, whilst the current cost of living crisis is now further affecting sales.

In addition to the economic realities of running a bookshop, my Wife who helps with the business, now needs greater support from myself due to poor health.

However, we will remain a low-key on-line bookseller on various platforms and we hope to do some pop-up bookselling at events in the future. In the meantime the shop may occasionally be found open on some random days and times in February, but unfortunately will mainly remain closed for bookselling. Nevertheless, outside you may find some ‘Clearance’ books for free!
